Disney has been bringing magical stories and unforgettable characters to life for more than 100 years. The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923 by brothers Walt and Roy Disney. One of its biggest breakthroughs came in 1928 with the introduction of Mickey Mouse in the animated short film Steamboat Willie. With his cheerful personality and unmistakable round ears, Mickey became one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world.
Over the years, Disney has created some of the most beloved animated movies of all time. In 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs became the studio's first full-length animated feature. Classics such as Cinderella, Peter Pan and The Jungle Book followed, introducing generations of children to memorable songs, colorful characters and imaginative adventures. Disney later expanded its animation legacy with computer-animated films and stories created by Pixar.
Today, Disney continues to inspire children and adults with stories about friendship, courage, family and following your dreams.
